Originally from Kentucky, James Fritz started comedy in the great state of Chicago. After ruining his credit score there, he made his way to sunny Los Angeles to absolutely, 100% embrace the relentlessly positive West Coast lifestyle. He was named “Best Stand-up” by the Chicago Reader. The Chicago Tribune called his comedy “a seamless blend of humor, honesty and fearlessness." He was featured at the High Plains Comedy Festival, Bridgetown Comedy Festival, Just For Laughs Chicago, Red Clay Festival, and The Fest in Gainesville. Since moving to LA, he has performed at The Meltdown, Hot Tub with Kurt and Kristen, The Comedy Store, The Hollywood Improv, Dynasty Typewriter, UCB, and co-hosted the beloved east side late night shows Babe Island and Night Coffee. His album Still Together was released by ASpecialThing Records to enthusiastic reviews and he has since worked on Squidbillies and been seen on HBOMax and Adult Swim. He currently works on The Frankie Quinones Show podcast and hopes to one day make enough money to leave the country.
